How to choose keywords for a new website with no authority | KD<10 Word Library Construction Method

作者:Don jiang

Use Ahrefs or Semrush, set the KD (Keyword Difficulty) to 0-10, and lock the monthly search volume between 100-500 for long-tail keywords. Prioritize keywords where the first page of search results contains Reddit, Quora, or personal blogs, which means the keyword has no authoritative content coverage. Group them in the structure of “1 core keyword + 5 long-tail keywords“, focusing on intent words like “how to”, “review”, and “comparison”.

Data Filtering

Parameter Filtering

Pull up the raw table with tens of thousands of rows of data in Excel. The first step is to drag the filter on the KD (difficulty) column to below 9. The reason not to choose 10 is that a large number of SEO tools default to recommending 10, causing this value to become a gathering area for newcomers. Setting the ceiling to 9 helps you avoid 40% of meaningless competition.

At the same time, keep an eye on the Volume column, adjusting the values to between 180 and 500. Keywords with monthly search volume below 100 have a poor input-output ratio, while those above 1000, even if the KD shows only 5, are often occupied by the underlying pages of large media sites.

  • KD Range: 0 – 9
  • Monthly Search Volume: 180 – 550
  • Word Count: 4 – 9 words
  • Click Rate (Clicks): Greater than 70%

The length of long-tail keywords directly determines the precision of customer acquisition. Set filter conditions to show only keywords with 4 or more words. For example, “Running shoes” – new sites simply can’t rank for this, but “best waterproof trail running shoes for wide feet” – due to the difficulty competitors have writing such granular content, ranking opportunities can increase by more than 3 times.

Check the CPC (cost per click) column. If a keyword has a CPC of 0, it means no company is willing to advertise for it, and this traffic usually has no conversion value. Set the CPC floor at $0.45 to ensure the keywords you filter can be converted to USD through ad placements or affiliate links.

  • Exclude all keywords containing other people’s brands (such as Amazon, Nike, Walmart)
  • Remove invalid keywords containing outdated years (2023, 2024)
  • The target market (such as the US) share in Global Volume must exceed 60%
  • The organic clicks (non-ad positions) share in SERP must be no less than 80%

After getting these initially filtered keywords, you need to verify the ratio between Clicks and Volume. Some keywords may have many searches, but Google directly provides answers at the top of the search results, causing users not to click on any page. We’re looking for keywords where clicks are close to or even exceed searches, which represents users not only searching but also frantically clicking on different results.

Observe the Parent Topic. If a long-tail keyword’s parent topic KD exceeds 50, even if the child keyword KD is 0, new sites will find it difficult to gain weight support in the short term. Choose keywords with parent topic KD below 20, which ensures your site’s overall authority accumulates like a snowball from a vertical niche.

  • Exclude keywords with “near me” and other local search intents
  • Filter out keywords with more than 5 video plugins on the results page
  • Filter keywords where the top 10 results contain more than 2 sites with DR below 15
  • Prioritize keywords with Return Rate above 1.1

Stay away from keywords with temporal fluctuations. Open the trend chart and remove those with stair-step curves that only spike during Black Friday or Christmas and are lifeless the rest of the time. We need evergreen keywords with flow fluctuation of no more than 20% throughout the 365 days of the year. This data performance can bring the most stable crawl frequency for new sites.

Take a look at the result types in the SERP. If the top 10 are all product shopping cards or images, the living space for text content will be compressed to less than 20%. Filter out these visual search keywords, and lock onto keywords where at least 6 of the top 10 are blog posts or guides.

Search Intent Classification

Open your browser in incognito mode and type the candidate keyword into the search box. First count how many links with the word “Sponsored” appear at the top. If there are more than 3 shopping ad icons crowding the front, it indicates extremely high commercial competition for this keyword. For a new site with a domain rating below 10, the chance of success in getting traffic from pages full of products is often less than 2.4%.

At this point, you need to turn your attention to pages with large blocks of text explanations in the search results. These types of keywords usually fall under informational intent, which accounts for over 60% of all searches. If a Q&A box with images appears at the top of the page, this is the featured snippet. A page in this position, even with a domain score of only 20, can capture approximately 31% of clicks for that keyword.

Identification Dimension Informational (Info) Commercial Comparison (Comm) Transactional (Trans)
Common Affixes How to, Fix, Guide Best, Vs, Review Price, Coupon, Buy
Page Layout Plain text, step images Comparison tables, ranking lists Product showcases, checkout pages
Typical Click Rate 25% to 40% 15% to 25% Around 5%
Recommended Word Count 1500 – 3000 words 2000 – 4500 words Below 500 words
  • Lock onto keywords with no video cards in search results, only plain text lists.
  • Filter out keywords where the top 3 results contain more than 2 government or educational institution websites.
  • Select evergreen keywords with monthly search volume fluctuation within 15%.
  • Look for keywords where the SERP page doesn’t have a knowledge card that directly answers the query.

Mark keywords with “Best” or “Review” suffixes in your spreadsheet. These users are at the final hesitation stage before purchase. Data shows that adding a specific year like 2026 to the title increases search intent match by 4.2 times compared to vague keywords. If a new site can list comparison data for 5 specific products, the quality of traffic attracted will be more solid than ordinary informative articles.

Take a look at the bottom of the search results page. If it’s all Reddit or Quora discussion threads, it means there’s currently no professional long-form content solving the user’s problem. Forum information tends to be fragmented. If you can produce a blog post with more than 4 sets of real test data and clear text formatting, Google’s algorithm typically promotes your ranking within 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Look for niches where top review sites like Wirecutter aren’t participating in the top 10 results.
  • Specifically look for comparison keywords with “Alternative to [Big Brand]” structure.
  • Check that blog posts exceed 70% of the top pages.
  • Confirm these keywords won’t be blocked by large map widgets on mobile searches.

Use negative filtering in your screening tool to remove all navigation-type keywords. If someone searches “Netflix sign in,” they just want the official website. Doing this type of keyword won’t get you rankings, and the traffic conversion rate is almost 0. After removing these keywords with specific domain characteristics, keyword database cleanliness can improve by over 35%.

When you see the “People Also Ask” module in search results, be sure to expand the 4 initial questions. If the answers given below these questions are very brief and irrelevant, that’s your entry point. Using these 4 questions as H2 headings in your article can typically increase average dwell time by 45 seconds compared to regular articles.

  • Avoid visual keywords with more than 4 large product images in search results.
  • Specifically look for competitive territories where homepage articles average only around 1200 words.
  • Exclude keywords with strong temporal delay, such as those containing “today’s news” or similar terms.
  • Ensure the selected keywords have a search share in the target market (like the US) exceeding 60%.

Check the Clicks Per Search in the data export. Some keywords have many searches, but because Google writes the answer directly on the page, the actual click rate may not even reach 10%. We want keywords with organic click share exceeding 85%. This ensures that the 3000-word article you spent 5 hours writing translates to actual server log visits.

Pay attention to how search intent changes with location. If a keyword shows all local stores in UK search results but all guide articles in the US, you need to recalibrate based on your server’s target market. Ensure that among the 50 keywords you’re preparing to write, at least 40 have their first page composed of independent blog articles.

  • Select keywords where the top 3 pages don’t have large-scale external link support.
  • Look for search terms where content doesn’t embed any YouTube videos.
  • Remove vague short keywords containing more than 2 ambiguities.
  • Confirm the keywords don’t involve legally or medically sensitive fields with high credential requirements.

Archive keywords with similar intent. If three different long-tail keywords all point to the same operation step, merge them. Through this method, one page can simultaneously capture the main keyword with monthly searches of 200 and four variants with search volume of 50. This clustering operation can increase a single page’s traffic ceiling by approximately 150%.

Check the update frequency of competing pages. If the top 5 articles were all published in 2022 and the pages have no modern comparison tables, this is the best entry ticket for new sites. You just need to provide a test report with the latest 2026 parameters, and even without backlinks, you can squeeze into the top pages in a short time based on information timeliness.

SERP Competitor Authority Audit

Open your browser in incognito mode and manually enter the target keyword. Don’t look at the software’s KD values; focus on the top 10 search results. If the top 3 are crowded with industry giants with DR scores exceeding 85, even if the keyword is KD 5, it must be marked gray. New sites can’t leverage domains with 10 years of accumulated authority.

Real opportunities lie with those DR below 25 personal sites. Observe the search results: if two of the top 5 pages have single-digit referral domain counts, this is usually a clear defensive gap. Statistics show that 45% of niche long-tail keywords ranking on the first page are actually supported by only a few hundred words of thin content.

  • The top 5 search results include 2 sites with DR below 20.
  • The first page has 3 pages with total referral domains fewer than 5.
  • Competing articles have publication dates stuck in 2022.
  • Reddit or Quora discussion threads appear in the results.
  • Page titles don’t fully cover the search phrase.

Seeing forum posts ranked in the top 3 means the algorithm can’t find professional articles in this area. Forum information is fragmented; users have to search through 50 comments. A blog post with 1200+ words and 3 real photos can replace these discussion threads within 90 days.

Use a plugin to scan the top-ranked article; if the word count is only around 600 words, you’re preparing a 1800-word guide with 5 operation steps and 3 comparison tables. This information density suppression will cause the algorithm to reassess rankings during crawling.

  • The benchmark article has fewer than 1000 words.
  • The page doesn’t contain any outbound links to high-authority sites.
  • Competing pages have mobile load speeds exceeding 3.5 seconds.
  • No H2 or H3 tags, just large blocks of text.
  • Images over 500KB causing loading delays.

Pay attention to the featured snippet format. Currently the snippet is a list of only 3 lines. You can design a visual chart with 8 dimensions. Articles containing at least one native HTML table have a 30% higher chance of featured snippet selection than plain text.

Go to the competitor’s page and check internal links. Pages ranking on the first page only have 1 internal link pointing to them. This shows the site owner doesn’t treat it as a priority. New sites can use a topic cluster of 5 articles with a 5-to-1 internal link density to boost page authority.

Observe the ad placements in search results. If the top and bottom are packed with 4 ads, this keyword has extremely high commercial value and competition will instantly intensify. Look for keywords with only 0 to 1 ad, whose click rates are typically 2.4 times higher than ad-crowded keywords.

  • The first page shows 3 results from Pinterest or YouTube.
  • The ranking page URL path is too long and doesn’t contain the keyword.
  • The data sources cited by the content are outdated.
  • Content lacks real experience and looks like a press release.
  • Page layout is broken on mobile devices.

Avoid keywords where the first page is all large e-commerce category pages. If 8 of the search results are Amazon product list pages, users only want to buy, not read. New site blogs have very little survival space in this intent, and click rates are often below 1%.

Focus your attention on keywords showing “independent blogs”. Check these blogs’ page authority. If the other party’s PA value is below 15, and you gain your first 10 shares through social media traffic, the ranking improvement curve will become very steep.

Data auditing isn’t just about numbers. Every 50 keywords, manually record the update frequency of competitors once. If half of the top 10 articles were updated in the last 30 days, this area is in an internal competition period. If it’s all “published in 2021,” that’s a stagnant blue ocean.

  • Confirm the top 3 pages don’t have large-scale media coverage.
  • Look for long articles without table of contents navigation.
  • Filter out results without video embeds in content.
  • Avoid keywords with many local maps in results.

Verify search intent match rate. Sometimes KD shows 0 because the search results are all irrelevant content. This type of keyword is unclaimed wasteland. Writing an article that precisely hits pain points with 4 specific cases can get you into the top 5 without backlinks.

Finding Blue Ocean Keywords

Low-Authority Competitor Reverse Lookup

Open Ahrefs’ Site Explorer in the sidebar and fill in a site with domain rating DR below 15 and monthly traffic exceeding 5000. In the left Organic Keywords option, lock the KD range between 0 and 10. Check keywords with ranking positions Pos between 1 and 5, and remove navigation keywords with brand names.

These small sites typically excel in specific niche areas. For example, a personal site specializing in “ultra-light hiking shoes” has a DR of only 12. Through data filtering, we found it has 45 keywords ranking in Google’s top 3, each with monthly search volume between 200 and 600.

Check these top-ranking pages. If the competitor’s article has fewer than 1200 words and no videos or custom infographics, this indicates a content quality gap. Statistics show that for keywords with KD < 10, a deep article with 2500+ words and 8 real photos can reach the first two pages of search results within 45 days. Three data points to note when analyzing low-authority competitors:

  • The page has fewer than 3 referring domains in Semrush.
  • The article was published before 2024 with no recent update traces.
  • The page’s mobile LCP load time exceeds 3.5 seconds.

Following these clues, check the competitor’s H2 and H3 tags. If they only simply listed product names without explaining specific use scenarios. For example, when introducing “Best Solar Power Banks 2026,” they didn’t mention the charging efficiency loss at 10°C, which is where new sites can supplement details.

Use the Keyword Gap feature to compare two similar low-authority sites. Find keywords where both sites are ranking, and both rankings are between positions 11 and 20. This means Google algorithms consider both pages valuable, but because the content isn’t comprehensive enough, they haven’t been given first-page positions yet.

Record the monthly search intent for these keywords. If the search results page shows many forum posts from two years ago, or only 300-word brief answers, this indicates extremely scarce content supply for that topic. New sites writing an operation guide with 15 specific steps for such keywords can quickly gain authority.

Four specific metrics to improve page competitiveness:

  • Give a targeted conclusion within the first 150 words of the article.
  • Insert 3 links to government or educational institution websites as data sources.
  • Set image Alt attributes to long-tail keywords the competitor didn’t cover.
  • Add a Q&A section with 8 real user questions at the end of the article.

Observe the internal link distribution of competitor sites. Many small site operators don’t link new articles to old pages, causing old page authority loss. When publishing new articles, sites should establish a cluster of 5 related topic articles, with each article creating 2 to 3 internal links to the others.

Check the competitor page’s meta description tag. If the competitor’s Meta Description was auto-generated from text snippets with cluttered display, new sites should manually write precise descriptions under 155 characters to increase click-through rate from the average 3% to over 8%.

Organize the 20 high-value keywords into Excel. Mark the corresponding product prices on Amazon for each keyword. If a keyword has only 300 monthly searches but the corresponding product has a unit price exceeding $150, this type of keyword’s monetization efficiency is far higher than generic keywords with tens of thousands of searches.

Avoid “Definition Keywords” and Focus on “Scenario Keywords”

Don’t stare at keywords like “coffee maker” with difficulty above 90. For new sites writing this type of keyword, even 10,000 words won’t get traffic. Search for “quiet espresso machine for 20 square meter rental apartments” – this keyword’s difficulty is usually below 5. Although only 180 people search monthly, these precise visitors have a 5 times higher probability of clicking through compared to people searching broad terms.

From the data, definition keywords are for big sites to build presence, while scenario keywords are for new sites to gain traffic. Statistics on 500 successful new site cases show that 85% of their initial traffic comes from phrases with 5 or more words. In the tool, set the search filter word count to 5+ and monthly volume to 100-300 to see a large number of low-competition opportunities.

The screening logic for these keywords mainly looks at users’ specific life situations.

  • Contains specific professional groups (e.g., lumbar support for long-haul truck drivers).
  • Has clear budget restrictions (e.g., entry-level birding binoculars under $100).
  • Solves specific time anxiety (e.g., morning skincare routine in 5 minutes).
  • Targeted at specific climate conditions (e.g., anti-humidity hair pomade for Florida’s high humidity).
  • Adapted to niche device models (e.g., matte privacy screen for 2024 MacBook Air).

This click rate difference stems from user need precision. When someone searches “running shoes,” they might just want to browse styles; when they search “wide-width durable running shoes for 200-pound heavy runners,” they’re ready to pull out their credit card. Data confirms these scenario keywords have 3.5 times higher conversion rates than generic keywords. New sites accumulating 50 such scenario pages can steadily break through 300 daily visits.

Keyword Comparison Search Volume Competition Difficulty (KD) Estimated Time to Rank Visitor Intent
Gaming Laptop 50,000+ 85 2+ years Just browsing
Best laptop for engineering students under $1200 450 7 3-5 weeks Preparing to buy
Office Chair 35,000+ 72 1+ year Comparing prices
Ergonomic office chair for lower back pain under $200 280 4 2-4 weeks Solving pain points

Go directly to the SERP to look at competitors. If the first page is all major brand official websites like Apple and Amazon, immediately give up. If you see 3+ personal blogs on the first page, or old webpages from before 2022, it means this scenario hasn’t been captured by big sites yet.

Content depth should connect with data; don’t just say “it’s very useful.” If you write “in environments at minus 5 degrees Celsius, this battery’s power decay is only 15%,” such details can keep users on the page 60 seconds longer. Google monitors this dwell time. When your page’s average dwell time exceeds 3 minutes, even if you have fewer backlinks than competitors, your ranking will gradually climb.

Avoid keywords already defined by Wikipedia. Go to Reddit comments for inspiration. If someone posts asking “Are there office chair wheels that won’t damage hardwood floors?” and the post has over 100 upvotes, that’s a perfect scenario keyword. Write a guide comparing 5 wheel materials for this need to precisely intercept users who don’t want to damage their floors.

Connect these scenario keywords together. For example, if you’re in the “home office” category, don’t just write one article. Around “small apartment study setup,” write 8 scenario keyword pages covering desk, lighting, noise-canceling headphones, etc. This interlinked structure makes search engines consider you a true expert in this niche, shortening the new site’s sandbox period.

Force yourself to export a list of 20 “scenario suffixes” daily. For example, attach words like “review,” “comparison,” “how to fix,” and “how to choose” to core keywords. Manually filter out those without purchase intent, keeping 5 keywords with high CPC potential.

Keyword Database Quality Verification

After getting a batch of keywords with KD below 10, don’t start writing immediately; first remove “shell keywords” that seem simple but have no traffic. Search these keywords on Google to see if there’s an answer box directly at the top of search results. If Google has written the answer on the search page, users will leave after reading it; even if you rank first, click rate will be painfully low, usually losing over 50% of visitors.

Next, look at the popularity trend of these keywords. Enter your keywords in Google Trends to see the curve over the past three years. If popularity only exists during fixed months each year and is basically zero the rest of the time, these highly seasonal keywords aren’t suitable for building a new site’s foundation. You need evergreen keywords that people search year-round, so your traffic data won’t fluctuate like an EKG.

  • Avoid keywords with other companies’ names, like “how to register for Facebook.”
  • Find keywords where the first page shows 2+ forum posts (like Reddit).
  • If the first page is all articles from 5-6 years ago, it means no one maintains this keyword.
  • Confirm the search intent is to see long-form guides, not short videos.
  • Check if there are “People Also Search For” lists in search results, which can help broaden thinking.

A keyword’s advertising cost per click (CPC) is a good reference for judging whether a keyword is good. If a keyword has only 200 monthly searches but costs $4 per click, it means people searching this keyword have money, with excellent conversion effects. Compared to generic keywords with tens of thousands of searches but no value, new sites need these 200 precise potential customers more, which can build a high-value label for your site early on.

Put selected keywords into the search box and see if the first 10 results include low-authority personal blogs. If the first page is all industry giant official websites, even if KD shows only 0, new sites will find it hard to squeeze in. The ideal situation is having half the first page be personal sites similar to yours, and their articles have messy layouts with blurry images – this is your opportunity to overtake through high-quality content.

  • Remove keywords with words like “free” or “cheap” – these readers don’t like buying things.
  • Keep keywords asking “how to do” or “which is better” – these readers are active.
  • See if the keyword has many related searches; too niche keywords can’t do internal links later.
  • Count the word count of the top 3 pages; if they only wrote 500 words, you write 1500.

Also be vigilant about “calculation” keywords, like currency conversion and unit conversion. Google’s own tools intercept almost all clicks for these keywords. You need keywords that require users to open the page and read details to solve problems. Ensure your selected keywords have a click intention (CTR) above 60%, otherwise you’ll waste effort writing articles no one clicks on.

Categorize these keywords by topic. For example, if you’re in “home office,” group low-difficulty keywords related to chairs, desks, and lighting together. Write 1200-word articles for each of these 10 small keywords, then link them to each other.

Building the Keyword Database

Topic Cluster Structure

For sites with domain rating DR between 0-5, the main task in the first three months is gaining indexing. Keywords with KD < 10 filtered through Ahrefs have single search intent, and the top 5 search results often show 0 backlinks. These low-difficulty keywords usually have monthly search volume between 30-150. Although they can't instantly bring 10,000-level traffic, they can increase Google's crawl frequency from 2 times to 20+ times daily. When the site ranks in the top 10 for 50 such keywords, the site's overall authority begins slowly moving from 0 to around 10. When building pillar pages, the target keyword's monthly search volume needs to be above 1000, with total word count around 2500. This page doesn't handle conversions but serves as a gathering point for 15-20 spoke articles. Each spoke page is 800-1200 words, precisely covering one KD < 5 long-tail keyword. Through internal links, direct all authority from these 20 spoke pages to the pillar page. This 1:20 link ratio is the path for new sites to bypass authoritative sites. When filtering spoke keywords, observe whether Quora, Reddit, or personal blogs appear on the first page of search results. If the top 3 search results are occupied by big sites with DR 80+, even if KD is only 0, don't include this in this month's keyword database.

  • Total word count exceeds 4.
  • KD value set to 0-5 in Ahrefs filter.
  • At least two positions in search results are small personal websites.
  • Search intent is to answer specific questions.
  • Search trends have remained stable over the past 12 months.

After publishing 20 pieces of content, manually insert anchor text pointing to these 20 spoke pages in the pillar page. Anchor text shouldn’t use exact match keywords; use descriptive phrases instead to avoid being judged as over-optimization. If new sites can accumulate 100 such long-tail keyword rankings within 90 days, average ranking in Search Console typically stabilizes at positions 20-30.

At this point, the site’s trust value is enough to support keywords with KD 15-20. Mutual citations between spoke pages need to follow logic. If page A explains how to choose hiking boots and page B explains how to clean hiking boots, insert a link to page B at the end of page A.

This practice typically yields click rates between 3% and 5%. Internal flow extends user dwell time, allowing Google to discover the site’s depth of coverage in specific niches. Statistics show that sites with complete clusters have keyword ranking speeds approximately 40% faster than sites with scattered content publishing.

When writing spoke articles, give clear answers within the first 100 words of each paragraph. Google’s position zero ranking favors this structure. If you can capture 5 position zero rankings for keywords with KD < 5, the site's overall click rate increases from the average 2% to over 8%.

Metric Item Pillar Page Spoke Page
Keyword Difficulty (KD) 15 – 25 0 – 8
Content Length (Words) 2500+ 800 – 1200
Internal Link Inbound Count 15+ 1 – 2
Estimated Monthly Traffic 500+ 50 – 150
Number of Images/Videos 5+ 2 – 3

The pillar page’s anchor text distribution needs precise calculation. Set one link to a spoke page every 500 words to ensure even distribution of page authority. For new site keyword database maintenance, refer to the following frequency:

  • Mine 10 new KD < 5 keywords weekly.
  • Check the pillar page’s internal link distribution every 5 spoke articles published.
  • Clean zombie keywords with search volume dropped to 0 and no clicks monthly.
  • For keywords ranking between positions 11-15, add 200 words of related content.
  • Check the top 3 pages with highest clicks in Search Console and increase their authority pointing to the pillar page.

Don’t touch commercial keywords with “Best” or “Review” early on unless their KD is truly 0. The competitive environment for these keywords is harsh, and sites with DR below 20 can hardly survive beyond 2 weeks on the first two pages. Focus energy on informational keywords like “How to” or “Difference between.”

Practical Advice

For sites with domain rating DR between 0-5, if Ahrefs shows difficulty of 0 but the first page is occupied by Forbes or The Verge, immediately give up. Even if the algorithm gives an extremely low competition value, high-authority old sites can still suppress through domain trust.

Search results containing Reddit, Quora, or posts before 2018 are breakthrough opportunities for new sites. These pages represent cases where Google currently can’t find higher-quality matches in its index. As long as new sites produce original content with 1200+ words citing the latest 2026 data, the period to rank in the top 3 is typically 35 to 50 days.

Several intuitive standards for judging content gaps:

  • The top 5 search results include 2+ personal blogs.
  • The top-ranking pages have content fewer than 600 words.
  • Page load time exceeds 3 seconds or mobile layout is broken.
  • The title doesn’t fully contain the user’s searched long-tail keyword.
  • The content’s last update date is more than 24 months ago.

Optimizing for position zero is an effective method to capture early clicks. In the first paragraph’s 40-60 words, directly write the answer to the question. For example, for the keyword “what is the weight of solar panels,” directly list the range of 15kg to 25kg without any introductory text.

This direct answer approach can increase click rate from 1.5% to over 6.8%. Statistics show that even if your page ranks fourth, as long as you capture position zero, the traffic you capture far exceeds the second place. New sites maintaining a 4-article weekly update rhythm can make Google’s crawl bot visit the sitemap every 24 hours.

Several operational points to boost search authority:

  • Write long-tail keywords in image Alt tags, and compress file size to below 100KB.
  • Keep first-screen render time within 1.5 seconds.
  • Add JSON-LD format FAQ code to increase display area in search results.
  • Use “specific noun plus verb” combinations for internal link text.
  • For the 10 most important keywords, embed a related video on the page.

When Search Console GSC shows a page ranking at position 12 with over 500 impressions in a month, immediately supplement content. Adding around 300 words of industry data or expert quotes typically moves the ranking into the top 10 within 72 hours after the next crawl.

Don’t touch Top 10 category list keywords with CPC exceeding $5 per click. That’s where professional SEO teams focus, and new sites can hardly survive beyond 2 weeks. Turn to “comparison” keywords, like “Which Model A or Model B is suitable for beginners” – this type of keyword has 2.4 times higher conversion rate than broad keywords.

Reference values for new site keyword database health:

  • The number of pages with clicks exceeds 60% of total indexed pages.
  • Average user dwell time exceeds 90 seconds.
  • Mobile access error rate is 0.
  • Organically growing external links exceed 20% of total links.

Within 48 hours of content publication, bring in around 50 real visits from social platforms or related forums to shorten Google’s evaluation period. Data feedback shows this initial manual traffic can accelerate the time for keywords to rank in the top 50 by 15 days.

For keywords with KD below 5, use list format in articles. This approach has 22% lower bounce rate on mobile than large blocks of text. When user scroll depth exceeds 70%, the page’s quality score in Google’s algorithm rises accordingly.

Check 404 errors daily and do 301 redirects promptly to prevent accumulated authority from escaping. If competitors update content, complete covering rewrites within 48 hours.
